Our Sphynx Cat Adoption Process is designed to be simple, transparent, and supportive. From the initial kitten application to bringing your new companion home, we guide you through each step to ensure a smooth transition. How it Works
01.
Kitten Application
The first step in our Sphynx Cat Adoption Process is to fill out our Kitten Application. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions and gives us some introductory information. You can find the answers to most questions on our FAQS page before you apply. We are happy to answer any additional questions you may have once a kitten application has been completed. A Kitten Application is required to adopt a Purradox Kitten.
02.
Application Review
The next step in our process is to review your kitten application. Once your kitten application is approved, you are free to choose a kitten at any time. We will send email and text alerts when new kittens are made available on the Available Kittens Page. We encourage applicants to join our Priority List. Priority List Members gain exclusive access to select new kittens from our upcoming litters before General List Applicants. All applicants are placed on the General List when their Kitten Application is approved for free. There is a $100 fee to join the Priority List. Details for joining the Priority List will be provided in your Kitten Application Approval Email. Previous adopters or individuals seeking to adopt kitten pairs may be placed on the Priority List for free.

Sphynx Kitten Reservation
Once you have selected a Sphynx kitten, you can secure your choice by submitting a 30% non-refundable reservation fee. This fee guarantees the kitten you’ve chosen is reserved exclusively for you. As a result, we will no longer advertise the kitten for adoption, which is why the reservation fee is non-refundable.

Sphynx Kitten Adoption contract and Agreement
The Adoption Agreement is completed at the time of the deposit. Preview our Adoption Agreement here. The remainder of the kitten’s adoption fee may be paid at pick up/delivery. If the kitten travels to you by a private transport service, payment is expected in full before the kitten’s departure. We accept payment in Cash, Money Order, Bank Transfer, Venmo, Cash App, or by invoice, providing flexibility in your payment options. For those opting to pay electronically, please note that additional processing fees, typically around 3-3.5%, may apply depending on the platform used. The buyer is expected to pay in transaction fees and sales tax.
05. Prepare For gotcha Day
Your Sphynx kitten will be ready to go home at 14-16 weeks of age. By this time, they will have received:
- Deworming
- 2 FVRCP Vaccines
- Rabies Vaccine
- Microchip
- Spay/Neuter
- Wellness Check
- Pedigree
- Our Parent Cats are tested FIV/FeLV negative, hcmDNA screened and scanned once yearly by Echocardiogram for HCM.
- Kittens will also go home with a cute outfit, blanket, sample bag of food and a fresh bath, ears cleaned and nails trimmed.
- Your kitten will receive 30 Days FREE Trupanion Insurance. It is required to register the code I give you 24 hours before or after pick-up. Your code will be in your Adoption Agreement.
Beware of Pet Scams
Pet scams are all over the internet. Be careful! Ethical breeders cannot afford to sale you $500 and $800 cats. Food and vet bills are too much for that to be a logical expectation. By looking for cheap cats,you are making yourself vulnerable to being scammed. Learn more about how to avoid pet scams on our Avoid Pet Scams Page. Here we provide proof Purradox Sphynxery is real and give you some examples of evidence any ethical cattery should be able to provide. Please support ethical catteries and not scammers or backyard breeders. BYB’s allow anyone to buy their cats unaltered and destroy breed health by not testing their cats. Buying from a scammer ends in you losing money and having no cat to show for it. Buying from backyard breeders ends with Sphynx being rampant in animal shelters and having health problems.
